ఐపీఎల్ 2019 కోసం డిసెంబర్ నెలలో వేలం నిర్వహించనున్నారు. దీంతో వచ్చే సీజన్ కోసం ఫ్రాంఛైజీలు ఇప్పటి నుంచే తమ కసరత్తులను ముమ్మరం చేసాయి. నవంబర్ 15లోగా ఫ్రాంచైజీలు తాము రిటైన్ చేసుకున్న ఆటగాళ్ల జాబితాను అందించాలని ఐపీఎల్ నిర్వాహకులు సూచించడంతో ఫామ్‌లో లేని ఆటగాళ్లందరినీ ఐపీఎల్ ఫ్రాంచైజీలు విడుదల చేశాయి. బాల్ టాంపరింగ్ కారణంగా ఏడాది పాటు అంతర్జాతీయ క్రికెట్‌కు దూరమైన ఆసీస్ క్రికెటర్లు స్టీవ్ స్మిత్, డేవిడ్ వార్నర్‌లను ఆయా ఫ్రాంఛైజీలు అట్టిపెట్టుకోవడం విశేషం. ఈ ఇద్దరినీ వేలంలోకి విడుదల చేయకుండా టీమ్‌లోనే కొనసాగిస్తున్నట్లు ఫ్రాంఛైజీలు ప్రకటించాయి.
